Yuvraj Singh is an Indian Cricket player and has served the Indian One Day International (ODI) Cricket team as its Vice-Captain since the year 2007 to the year 2008. Yuvraj is famous for having hit 6 sixes in a over bowled by Stuart Broad during a Twenty-20 match against England in the 2007 World Twenty-20 Cricket tournament.

Early
He was born on December 12, 1981 in Chandigarh to Yograj Singh, a former Indian Fast Bowler and Yuvraj Punjabi Movie Star started playing cricket in a very early age, and as the captain of the Under-19 Cricket Punjab in the last game Cooch-Behar Trophy from 1999-2000, scored 358 runs against Bihar Under-19 cricket team. After that, he was also a part of the Under-19 National Cricket participating in U-19 Cricket World Cup held in Sri Lanka in January 2000. Mohammed Kaif was the captain of Indian team, who eventually won the championship.

One Day Debut International (ODI) and Test
Yuvraj Singh made his debut in the one day International (ODI) Cricket played a match against Kenya on October 3, 2000 in Nairobi. Although he had no chance to bat in the match, took no window and gave 16 runs in the game. In his next match against Australia ODI only four days after the rookie one, Yuvraj showed his prowess at bat, scoring just 84 runs from 80 balls. He began his career with a Test Cricket match played against New Zealand on 16 October 2003 at Mohali. He scored 25 runs in the game, including 3 Fours and six 1.

Notable achievements
Basically it is a left-handed batsman Yuvraj and often bowls left arm orthodox as Spinner. He is considered to perform better as a hitter facing Spin bowlers compared with the fast bowlers. Yuvraj also said that one of the gardeners efficient Indian cricket team has and according to a study he was the gardener in the world ranking fourth in terms of having the maximum number of powers outs in One Day International (ODI) cricket matches between 1999 and 2005. In the ODI played 131 games during their term as a fielder Yuvraj made 21 outings for operating.

The overall results
In general Cricket Test career until April 2009, Yuvraj Singh has played 28 test matches in which he scored 1387 runs including three centuries and six half centuries, with an average of 35.56 runs and a highest score of 169 runs. He has managed to grab seven wickets giving 316 runs at an average of 45.14 runs in those games.

As for his One Day International (ODI) Cricket career is concerned, has played 232 ODI matches until April 2009 and has scored 6850 runs including 11 centuries and 40 half-centuries and an average of 37.43 runs and a highest score of 139 races. In these games, took 72 wickets and gave away 2849 runs at an average of 39.56 runs.

Yuvraj Singh is the captain of Kings XI Punjab Indian Premier League 2009, in a match against Kolkata Knight Riders played on April 21, 2009 in Durban, scored 38 runs in 28 balls, but could not get his team victory in the match, as Kolkata Knight Riders won by 11 runs.
